Everyday life is full of awkward encounters, questionable decisions, minor inconveniences, and thoughts that probably deserve to stay inside our heads. The artist Minimaali takes those familiar moments and pushes them several steps further, turning them into colorful comics filled with absurd humor and unexpected punchlines.

A lot of the jokes begin with situations that are easy enough to recognize: relationship worries, embarrassing moments, getting dressed, trying to sleep, or simply misunderstanding what someone else meant. From there, however, things can go off the rails very quickly. Words are taken far too literally, innocent comments lead to bizarre conclusions, and tiny problems receive reactions wildly disproportionate to what actually happened. The artwork is bright, expressive, and intentionally playful, while the humor can be cheeky, crude, self-deprecating, or wonderfully nonsensical. Even something as simple as finding a dress with pockets can become a miniature emotional journey, while a seemingly suggestive question might end with a punchline involving something completely different.

We’ve gathered a selection of Minimaali’s comics below. Scroll down to enjoy the chaos, and don’t forget to upvote the ones that made you laugh the hardest.

Stealing is wrong, but stealing from a kid is beyond despicable. As an adult, you should know better than to take advantage of a child, especially a relative. Sadly, when it comes to trends and popular things—like Pokémon—some grown-ups completely lose their minds and behave spoiled and entitled.

Even the bond between an aunt and her niece isn’t sacred. The internet weighed in after one mom shared how her daughter was driven to tears when her beloved aunt stole her rare shiny Pokémon behind her back. Scroll down for the full story and the internet’s opinions about the family drama.

Well-adjusted adults know not to steal from little kids. Unfortunately, common sense is not that common

Entitlement is something that parents need to push back against, otherwise, their entitled children grow into entitled adults

It’s important to remember that nobody is ever ‘perfect,’ and that we all make mistakes. We all have moments of weakness when we want something so badly that it overrides logic, common sense, and the importance of our relationships.

That being said, adults should know better than to ignore other people’s boundaries, especially those of little kids. Going around stealing other people’s Pokémon behind their backs just isn’t right. This is the type of behavior that is reminiscent of scalpers who quickly and massively buy up Pokémon-related content to then sell it on for a price spike. Sure, the method is different, but the lack of ethics is similar.

If you’re not careful, your kids can develop a sense of entitlement that then goes on to haunt them into young adulthood, too.

Psychologist Jeffrey Bernstein, Ph.D., states that when you set boundaries with your children, it is vital that you don’t give in when they push back, despite the friction. What you have to do, as a parent, is teach them to take responsibility for their actions. Furthermore, you have to help them understand that mutual respect is incredibly important.

“Managing an entitled adult child can be a challenging and emotionally exhausting experience for parents. Whether it’s endless requests for financial support, special treatment, or refusing to take responsibility for their actions, these situations can quickly spiral into resentment and strain the entire family dynamic,” Bernstein writes, adding that parents ought to promote clear boundaries, mutual trust, and accountability.

“Often, entitlement grows from a lack of limitations, where the parent repeatedly gives in to demands or excuses for bad behavior. By clearly defining what is acceptable and what isn’t, you’re protecting your well-being and teaching your child an invaluable lesson in respect,” he says.

prostooleh / Magnific (not the actual photo)

Not lying and not stealing are lessons that many kids learn very early on

Like with most things in life, consistency is key here, too. You have to be consistent when setting boundaries, too. Furthermore, as much as you, as a parent, might want to support your child, you have to make sure that you’re not enabling their entitled behavior. Simply put, they have to be allowed to experience the consequences of their actions so that they grow and mature.

Lying and stealing are things that kids usually understand are wrong very early on. Johns Hopkins Medicine explains that children under 3 don’t lie on purpose, as they don’t understand what they’re saying and are experimenting with language. Kids under 7 may have trouble separating the real world from fantasy. And yet, by age 6 or 7, kids understand what lying is and they might cheat if they’re able to. Children ages 6 to 12 understand what lying is and why it’s wrong, but they might continue to test the rules and limits set by adults.

Meanwhile, when it comes to stealing, children aged 3 and under don’t fully understand the difference between what does and doesn’t belong to them. They might “become possessive of their things and protect them. They don’t steal with bad intentions.”

Kids between 3 and 7 start respecting things that don’t belong to them. However, this age group can trade things without regard to value if they want something else. By age 9, children should respect other people’s belongings and understand that stealing is wrong.

However, kids this age might continue to steal if they feel peer pressure, have low self-esteem, are trying to buy their friends’ attention, and want to feel proud of accomplishing something.

What’s your take, Pandas? How would you have reacted if you were in the mom’s shoes? Has anyone you know ever been tricked or tried tricking someone else when it comes to Pokémon-related stuff like games, cards, etc.? How would you go about restoring trust between family members after someone has trampled over another person’s boundaries so brazenly? Let us know in the comments.

Later, the author answered people’s questions and shared more context

The internet had a lot to say about the Pokémon drama. Most people were supportive of the way the mom reacted

And yet, some netizens offered a different perspective

  • Monday 24 August 2026 - 08:08

Too much worldview friction will end any relationship but it’s particularly bad if the person you are dating has a very different view of what your common, future life will look like. The question of “who will serve and who will eat” is more than just a Leonard Cohen lyric.

A woman turned to the internet for advice after learning that her friend’s BF felt that she needed to be, in her words, a 60s housewife, cooking and cleaning for him despite being employed. So folks online shared their thoughts and suggestions and later the woman shared a small update from her friend.

Mine happened very quickly. It was the third day of orientation, and I got up early that morning. I decided, since I was up, I might as well go do something, and I left my dorm and wandered over to the nearby shopping street. I went to a Starbucks there and bought a cup of coffee. Then, I walked back to my dorm and sat down in one of the easy chairs in the common room, just sipping my coffee and waiting for everybody to get up. I don't know why, but this all struck me as really awesome. I guess, until then, I'd been used to having my life controlled by other things, my parents, school, etc. In a weird way, this was the first action I'd ever made completely on my own, and it was amazing. Still one of the happiest moments I can remember.

It was a Saturday night, and I'd just been in my room for the most part, but around 2AM, one of my friends called me up and we decided to go hang out in another building.

I go downstairs and I see a body covered with a blanket, on the floor of the lobby. Right in front of the security desk (security guards need to check our ID before letting us into the dorms). There was also some kind of liquid mush staining the carpet near him. I'm a little freaked out at this point, thinking that someone had [passed away] and they had just covered the body... Nope, turns out the kid had stumbled into the lobby after a night of heavy drinking, then fell over and threw up while trying to give the guard his ID card. This had literally happened in the last 5 minutes, so the guard just threw a blanket over the kid while waiting for help.

On my first day of school it had just turned to dusk. My friends (well really only hall mates at this point) were coming back from some freshman event. As we are walking along a man pops out of the bushes wrapped only in a yellow sheet. And yells, "my metamorphosis is complete! I am a beautiful butterfly!" He then threw the sheet on the ground reveling the fact that he was completely bare underneath and ran off into the night.

Probably the night we discovered that Pam + synthetic institutional carpet + duct tape = indoor slip n slide. Much awesome fun was had by all and a few socks were sacrificed in the process.

Even better was the campus policeman who told us to wait until he got off shift around 2AM. Turns out he's a tuba player in band and had a ton of valve oil. We had an exceptionally long corridor in the basement that was linoleum and much slipping and sliding occurred. We even had the foresight to put the WET signs down after we were done.

Also rolling down the hall to my dorm room because I was too drunk to stand up and walk. Ended up sleeping hunched over my lofted bed because I couldn't get in it.

My first semester at university, I was living on campus in a suite-style dorm. One of my suitemates decided she didn't like the university housing, and she wanted to move out into private residence. How did she get out of her housing contract with the university? She married a guy she'd known for two weeks. Apparently there was a loophole in the contract that made marriage a legitimate way to get out.

**TL;DR my suitemate married someone she'd known for two weeks for convenience. Hello crazy times.**

I was playing basketball for a D-1 school and I had come from a tiny high school. I was 6'4, and in HS that normally made me one of the 3 or 4 tallest guys on the court. Sometimes when we played small teams I was literally taller than the other teams center, even though I was a point.

Our first open run was in August. I was shorter than everyone on the team except two guys. The first time I took a ball to the basket it was like the sky closed up and slapped the ball right back into my face. I had a feeling my ceiling at that level might be limited at that point.

I had just moved in to my own apartment the summer before my freshman year, being a poor college student the best setup I could afford was an apartment sharing a room with two other girls. Time alone was scarce at night but once in a while the two other girls would go out and I would just hang out in the apartment with my SO...and by hang out I mean seize the opportunity to [be intimate] in peace. On one particular night my SO and I were in a bit of a rush because we didn't know how long my roommates would be gone and it slipped my mind to do the usual 'close the windows, lock the door' routine. Considerably loud and dirty [time] ensues, and just as I let out that last satisfied moan I hear my neighbors on both sides (I had one window on either side of my bedroom windows, both apartments occupied by 2-3 college guys) start to cheer and clap for me. For a solid minute I lay frozen like a deer in the headlights as they applauded my grand finale. My SO thought it was most hilarious thing that had ever happened, and I just wanted to go hide.

I guess it was when I just left mid-day to hop on a train and go an hour away to another city for a BBQ. I mean, I had done that sort of thing before in HS, but I didn't have to tell anyone I was leaving, I just...walked to the station and was gone for the day. Complete, 100% freedom.

Worst- freshman year, coming back late on a Sunday after visiting family, only to find all the dining halls closed. So I made bagel bites in my microwave alone (roommate went off to sleep with her SO) crying because I missed my mom and realized nobody would care for me the way she does.

Best- went to a house party that had a water slide, live music, mud pit, and alcohol abounding. Wrestled in the mud with my friends, and shot liquor into each other's mouths with mini squint guns. Epic dance battle commenced. Realized I would never be able to experience such reckless abandonment outside of college.

Mine wasnt some raging party or walking in on a roommates 3some or anything....it was more of a epiphany the second I was dropped off by the parents...

*Some critical background*: I came from a Military Boarding School....i went from extreme supervision to bliss (with a summer in between). My parents dropped me off at 11th and High st, right next to the Panera at the Ohio State University. We moved in already, just ate, and done all the admin type stuff you do on the first day....i was truly being released. I grew up in a relatively strict family. My parents lived in Chicago, so they were leaving for home right after this. I gave them the epic "last time being under your wing" hug. My mom cried with deep passion. Dad and I hugged, chatted, fist bumped and that was it.

Many, many times I have reflected on the feeling inside me as I sauntered the 1/8 to 1/4 mile to my dorm, by myself, for the first time. I MADE IT! THIS IS IT! THIS IS COLLEGE....*looking around* THESE ARE MY PEERS AND FUTURE FRIENDS...**THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOOMMMMEEEE!!!** It was a picturesque day, 70 to 75 degrees, no clouds, such vibrancy about and so much ahead of me. I've written a handful of songs and poems about it....I finally had the freedom I had been yearning and painstakingly sticking it out for....as i reflect on it now the smile on my face is as wide as can possibly stretch....so fond.

My mother INSISTED that we hit the road at 5:25am to "beat the traffic" nearing my campus. Ended up on campus at 7:45am, with move in to the dorms beginning at 9:00am. After carrying our first few loads of dorm supplies to the door until they unlocked it, I was approached by a lady resembling Veronica Corningstone. She approached me and asked if I was an incoming freshman, willing to interview. "Absolutely!" I say. It was aired all day on the local news, and people recognized me for the first week or so, especially the faculty and RAs living in my dorm. I was borderline famous, for a wee bit. Thanks Mom!

TL;DR Arrived prematurely... made the news!

In college, I lived in a dorm as a freshman, but moved off campus into an apartment the next year. One night, after getting completely obliterated and blacking out, I walked back to my old dorm room, (I assume) thinking that was where I still lived, climbed up onto the top bunk of a bunkbed, and went to sleep. I woke up the next morning, trying to figure out what happened and why I wasn't in my own bed, looked around and saw a guy sitting at his computer. "Where am I?" I asked. He just turned and looked at me with a big smile on his face and said, "College, man. College.".

All my chemistry 101 exam scores were between 60% and 80%. First time it happened I was shocked, second time time I knuckled down and really studied for the third exam, and the third exam I barely broke 80%. I was convinced I would have to retake it. I passed the class with a solid A. Feels good man.

I went to a small liberal arts college, needless to say the place was infested with children of rich people. We like to call those pseudo-hippies "trustafarians". I'm standing in the smoking area my first week of college, listening to a chick talk about how chicken nuggets give you cancer. While she was smoking an American Spirit. Welcome to hypocrisy.

When I started college, we went to have a campingtrip as an introduction. Nobody of the 150 people knew each other, including me of course. The weather from the first day on was BAD. So bad that after the second day, only 5 of the 150 tents stood upright. But it was great. It was helping and be helped. We suddenly became a family because of our common enemy (the weather). We helped each other holding tents, finding lost stuff, and drinking. After two years all of us 150 are still like a big family.

My parents were moving me into my dorm freshman year the week before classes start. The dorm was a co-ed freshman dorm, 8 floors high and located in a residential area of town that was mainly populated by students. The house facing the front of the dorm (directly across the street) had 5 guys living in it. As we are moving my stuff to my room, the 5 gentleman who lived across the street displayed a banner that they had fashioned from an old white bedsheet. They unfurled it and hung it from the roof of their front porch. It read: "Fathers thank you for your daughters." That's when I knew I was in college.

A colleague of my dad recalls his first day in a high tier university.

his first class was physics, so he sits down with the other students in the lecture hall, waits a few minutes while the professor writes some points on the board and the professor turns to the class. the professor starts talking. "Hello, class," he says dryly, "this is your first day of college. some of you might think you're special. you might be a valedictorian of your high school, or had honors awards, or got perfect sat scores. look around you. there are 100 kids in this hall just like you. you're not special. welcome to college." and then he started the lecture.

I was setting up my dorm room and I realized I had no idea how to put my sheet on the twin bed. I kept trying and trying but it was simultaneously too short for the length of the bed and WAY too wide for the width.

Yeah, I was trying to put it on sideways, but I had to call home before I figured that out.

The day I moved in was also the day that my mother had an emergency mastectomy for Stage IV triple negative breast cancer (2008). I was so scared, knew absolutely nobody, and my roommate was awful. My girlfriend was 100 miles away, and she was doubting the long-distance relationship would work.

Fast forward four years. I graduated, Mom is still fighting, and my girlfriend is now my fiancee, and we're getting married in May.

    College went by so fast.

I go to college in a foreign country (American in Hong Kong). My plane landed around 9:30pm, and by 11pm I was moved in. I meet some of the older students and they tell me "get dressed, you've got 15 minutes."

Less than an hour later we're all doing shots in clubs and dancing on top of bars with people who's names I can't remember. The more time I spend here the more I hate the US' drinking age.

I'll start with my first college experience which turned into a "I'm gonna like it here" moment. At my school orientation consisted of you staying overnight in one of the on-campus dorms. It was oven-like in the rooms so I decided to go down to the lounge, meet some people, and not even sleep. I found some people, socialized, shared stories and all of that. By the middle of the night we were playing NeverHaveIEver. Me and the other guys were saying some weird stuff just for some laughs.... but all of the girls in the group did them.... If there was a picture of my face that night it would be similar to a child on christmas.

Thought I didn't need to study for anything, like high school. Got an A in high school biology when I was a sophomore.

Get to college, where all the professors have PhD's and teach all of the introductory classes too. Tells us to study really hard so we'll succeed.

    I figured, "I'm smart enough."

I was always sort of an odd kid; in addition to being a long haired male, my wardrobe was almost 100% Mickey Mouse shirts.

About 3 days after I'd moved in to my dorm in college, I was walking back from some finance office next to a road, and as usual was donning the Mickey Mouse shirt. Without warning, I felt something whack me in the forehead. I was stunned at first; I eventually reached up and touched my forehead, and realized that I had been egged.

I remember thinking it was weird that so many people were introducing themselves left and right. I don't have any crazy stories, except that the walls were really thin and my neighbour was very popular with the ladies - and that I also kept getting my food stolen from the communal fridge so I spiked it with laxatives.

I was in my dorm room trying to study neuroscience while the girls in the room on one side of mine were blasting rap and the girls in the room on the other side were blasting country. Next quarter when I moved to a quiet hall, they followed me, found my room, and started pounding on my door in the middle of the night because I'd had the nerve to ask them to be quiet during quiet hours.

I walked into my first class. I sat down.

It was silent. No one was talking. Someone in the corner was playing music, but I could only hear it because of the silence in the room. No cliques full of girls screaming at each other about last night's party, no packs of pretty boys calling each other bro.

No one CARED about each other.

I almost started sobbing with relief.

On the first night we got called into one of the higher flats to play Kings cup. After every single person had whiteyed out the window (except me, actually, because I'm irish), one of the lads wondered if the scissors were sharp, cut his arm open and an ambulance was called while I held the muscle up.
He went to the club once his 15 stitches were sorted, pulled a girl from the building who punched him in the face, breaking his nose the following night.

Moved into the "Party Dorm" on my campus the first day of frosh week. As I pull up there are guys on the front lawn doing beer funnels. I had never even been in the residence before, but I had heard stories. I walk into the building to find my room and meet my roommate. As I walk in the front door Im handed a cup of beer. I find my room, on the third floor, and my roommate was already passed out (3:30PM) on the floor, in nothing but his underwear. This was only 3 years ago.

Night before first day of class I went out drinking without a plan on how to get home. I got incredibly drunk, to the point of not being allowed into a cab. I passed out on some random persons couch near sunrise, woke up at 6 in the morning and cabbed it back to my house. I barely had enough time to grab my bag and make it back for my first class at 8:30. I attended all 5 of my classes despite being very hungover and tired. That was fun.

My welcome to college moment was more like a solid week straight. I go to a state school in upstate New York that's known as a huge party school.

The first week of school consisted of drinking and hopping from frat parties to bars, coming home at 3am wasted out of my mind, waking up at 12, recooperating from the hangover, and doing it all over again for 6 days straight.

I would wake up with people's numbers that I don't remember getting, and people coming to me during the day who I didnt know asking me when we should party together again.

And then I nearly failed out of school the first semester and stopped going out as much.

    Party, but not too hard.

Pretty typical, walked to a house party with my roommates, walked into a small run down house that was shoulder to shoulder jam packed, beautiful girls everywhere, plenty of booze, I even said to myself..."You made it Andrew, this is college."

    #51

First night out with new flatmates...started casually enough with a few beers in the flat. Move to the SU, few more beers. Half of the group (pussies) went home, other half continued to nightclub. Now, I was the token Irish guy at a UK uni, so everybody starts playing a little game called "Get the Paddy Pissed". One of my new flatmates starts buying me double tequilas... a lot of them. I loose track after the 5th. Apparently I then ran off (no memory of this) and got lost for a few hours. Somehow managed to make my way home where the party is still going on back at the flat. Someone hands me what I assume is a pint of water and I drink nearly half before realising that it is in fact vodka. Then the beer bong comes out and of course I have to do a few of those too. Then someone convinces me to eat one of the hottest chilli peppers commercially available in the UK...spend about an hour leaning my head out the window, using a can of beer as moutwash and spitting it out of a 4th floor window. Apparently at some point in the night, I also passed out standing up, just leaning against my bedroom door. Woke up the next day, and managed to make it to my 9 am lecture. Welcome to uni!!

My RA got completely wasted the first weekend, came back to the dorm and threw up all over himself in the hallway. He then preceded to spray his entire thrown-up-on shirt with spray fixative, and leaves it to dry on the balcony off the hall. Confused? I'll explain.

    It was an art school.

    #53

I go to school in NYC and last year hurricane Irene was doin her bizniss, so of course we threw a "Hurricane Irene Party" during orientation week. Me and 2 guys trekked out into the storm to go buy more booze. When we got back the party had been busted by the RA (yeah, I know we were dumb), and I booked it with my huge backpack full of alcohol to my room.

    #54

A whole campus decided they wanted me to get drunk. At one point of my drunken escapades that night the campus convinced me that some poor girl who lived a few floors down from me had taken my ID. I chased her for five minutes round the student village (she was laughing, it was fine) I eventually rugby-tackled her to the ground. After picking her up we all went back to my flat's kitchen. I don't remember much after that.

I woke up in the morning in my own bed (which was a supprise in itself), I had mushrooms (of the non-magic varitity) in my mouth and I had more writing on me than a decent newpaper. This was the point I realised I was going to like uni.

    #55

I was in college ~2 weeks before loosing my virginity. And then I woke up next to a different girl the next weekend, and so on...

Also, the first time me and my roomie met our RA was the week before classes started so we had nothing to do really. It was the middle of the afternoon, we were drunk and walking around inside of the building with a wild pigeon my roommate somehow caught with his bare hands, when we bumped into her...

    #56

The first time I got drunk/went out with my friends. I was like "Whoa, I don't have to like, check in with my parents, this is awesome!".

    #57

Walking down the hall to my dorm. A girl I never met before says "I like your sideburns." We ended up [sleeping together]. Never got each others numbers. Never ran into each other again. College life.

    #58

When I was walking to class and there was a Bud Light trailer in my way.

    #59

I was in the first wave of freshman to move into dorms. The first night I went out to a party, slept in some random guy's room (on the floor. Lame.) The next morning I got lost trying to find my dorm, it started to rain and I was in a white shirt. Also other freshman and their parents were moving into their dorms. I finally found my dorm and puked in a trashcan in front of a bunch of people and parents. Hey, it's college.
    TL;DR Walk of shame.

    #60

My "Welcome to University" moment has to be when, during lunch, myself and a few friends went to a pub, got mildly drunk, then spent twenty minutes filling coke bottles with cider from the university bar so we can continue drinking during class.

That was a good first year of university.

    #61

Hearing my roommate lose her virginity ten minutes after she almost threw up on my laptop at a party.

    She's a riot.

Growing up in the ’90s came with plenty of things that kids today might find completely strange, from cassette tapes and dial-up internet to spending hours outside without anyone being able to text you. It was a time when you had to wait for your favorite song to come on the radio, rewind videos before returning them, and hope nobody picked up the phone while you were using the internet.

Today, we took a nostalgic dive into the r/90s community to find memories, memes, and photos that perfectly capture what growing up during that unforgettable decade was really like. Some will make you laugh, others might unlock memories you didn't even realize were still hiding somewhere in your brain. So keep scrolling, Pandas, and get ready for a serious dose of ’90s nostalgia.

If there’s one thing that truly defines the ’90s, it’s how much the world seemed to change in such a short time. The decade sat right in the middle of a major shift from the familiar analog world to the digital one we know today. Landlines, printed newspapers, video rental stores, and physical photo albums were still part of everyday life, but the internet was beginning to quietly change everything.

In The Nineties, Chuck Klosterman explores this monumental transition and captures the early, almost innocent public perception of the World Wide Web. Back then, many people had no idea that the strange new thing called “going online” would eventually transform how we work, communicate, shop, date, and entertain ourselves. Looking back now, it’s fascinating to realize that the ’90s were essentially the bridge between two completely different worlds.

During the ’90s, cellphones began transitioning from bulky, expensive devices to something more compact and accessible to ordinary people. Phones like the Nokia 5110 became instantly recognizable symbols of the era, and suddenly, carrying a phone around no longer seemed like something out of a science-fiction movie. Of course, these phones were nothing like the tiny supercomputers sitting in our pockets today. There were no endless apps, high-quality cameras, or social media notifications constantly demanding attention. But at the time, being able to call someone while away from home felt pretty revolutionary. And let's be honest, a phone that could survive being dropped approximately a thousand times had its own kind of magic.

And it wasn’t just technology that saw major advancements during the decade. The medical world was making life-changing progress too. In 1995, doctors introduced Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy which transformed HIV from what had largely been considered a guaranteed death sentence into a manageable chronic condition for many patients. That same year, the FDA approved LASIK, opening the door for millions of people to correct their vision through a relatively quick outpatient procedure. Advances in early detection, including screening methods such as mammograms, also helped improve cancer outcomes. Along with developments in treatment, including more targeted approaches to chemotherapy, cancer death rates began showing important long-term improvements.

The ’90s also helped reshape the global economy in ways that would be felt for decades. Agreements such as the North American Free Trade Agreement which came into effect in 1994, and the creation of the World Trade Organization in 1995, dramatically changed international trade. Barriers between countries were lowered, making it easier for goods, services, and businesses to move across borders.

Of course, globalization brought its own complicated debates and consequences, but it also played a major role in economic growth in many developing regions. The expansion of global trade helped create new opportunities and contributed to hundreds of millions of people rising out of extreme poverty, particularly in rapidly developing countries across Asia. So while many of us remember the ’90s for Tamagotchis and boy bands, the decade was also quietly reshaping the wider world.

On a lighter and much more entertaining note, the ’90s also gave us movies that completely changed what audiences thought was possible on the big screen. Jurassic Park in 1993 brought dinosaurs to life in a way that left viewers genuinely amazed, blending practical effects with groundbreaking computer-generated imagery. Then came Toy Story in 1995, which made history as the first fully computer-animated feature film.

It wasn't just a fun movie about toys coming to life; it marked the beginning of a major shift in animation and filmmaking. Hollywood increasingly embraced digital technology, and visual effects began opening doors to stories that would have been far more difficult to create using practical effects alone. For a decade often remembered as simpler, the ’90s were actually laying the groundwork for many of the movies and digital entertainment experiences we enjoy today.

And that’s what makes looking back at the ’90s so much fun. The decade gave us major scientific breakthroughs, changing technology, new ways of connecting with the world, and plenty of unforgettable pop culture moments. And today’s collection celebrates the smaller, everyday things that made growing up during that time so memorable—the gadgets, habits, fashion choices, and little experiences that probably seemed completely normal back then. Now, they instantly trigger a wave of nostalgia. So, Pandas, which of these memories took you straight back to the ’90s? And what’s one thing from the decade you wish you could experience again?

Ideally, a pregnancy is planned but often, that’s not the case. Data from the United Nations Population Fund reveals that 45% – 50% of all pregnancies are unintended. That’s a total of around 121 million women every year. For some, it comes as welcome surprise. Others see it as a huge shock.

One woman says when she started feeling dizzy and nauseous at work, she assumed her new medication was to blame. She wasn’t expecting a trip to the doctor to end with a positive pregnancy test. But it did. The woman’s husband had recently left her, and she’d ended up seeking a little too much comfort in the arms of a platonic friend. Now, she’s not sure how to tell him.

When her husband suddenly left her, it came as a huge shock… as did her positive pregnancy test a short while later

A woman is seen looking worried while holding a positive pregnancy test, highlighting how friends spouses are sleeping together.

Somewhere around your third bad commute of the week, you’ve probably daydreamed about a different world. Not necessarily a better one, just different. Maybe it involved a garden. Maybe it involved never speaking to another human being again. No shame either way.

Most of us have already picked a favorite version of the future, even if we’ve never said it out loud. Your coworker who preps for everything and reads survival blogs on his lunch break? He’s already picked his bunker. Your aunt who’s obsessed with her tomato plants and community potlucks? She’s basically living the pilot episode of her own solarpunk future.

Nobody actually knows which one fits them until they’re forced to think it through, which is exactly what this is for. 25 questions and six wildly different ways to spend the rest of your life.

Toxic masculinity, macho culture, chauvinism, misogynism, and the manosphere. We hear a lot about how rigid and destructive masculine norms pressure men to be violently dominant, emotionally closed off and opposed to anything that’s seen as remotely ‘feminine.' But something we don't often speak about is the flip side of the coin: toxic femininity.

Experts describe it as a form of internalized misogyny that sees women restricting themselves to stereotypically “feminine” behaviors in order to appeal to men. And they say it’s more common than many of us might think.

People have been sharing examples of toxic femininity in a series of online threads. From motherhood, to beauty standards, and self-inflicted martyrdom, Bored Panda has put together some of the best 'definitions of womanhood' that scream ‘toxic femininity.’

Some believe that toxic femininity is about women using their “feminine” qualities to manipulate men. But many experts argue that's not the case. In reality, they say toxic femininity involves a woman restricting their behavior to fit stereotypically feminine traits that men supposedly find pleasing.

It's more common, and more harmful, than many might think. According to Monica Vermani, a clinical psychologist and author of A Deeper Wellness: Conquering Stress, Mood, Anxiety and Traumas, toxic femininity can affect a woman's health and well-being by increasing stress levels, sabotaging their sense of identity, contributing to a feeling of powerlessness, and leading to unhealthy relationships.

    As a woman:

    1. **Big [manhood]/ being tall:** It's okay to shame men over their bodies but not women.
    2. **Calling every woman with her own mind and opinion a "pick me"** : Need I say more?
    3. Calling every guy a creep even when he isn't being a creep, and you just don't like him.
    4. Saying you want your SO to open up about his feelings, but when he does you end up using it against him in arguments or after you break up
    5. Hitting men and thinking it's fine because you're a woman and he's a man
    6. "male tears" "Is it a girl or an abortion?"
    7. ALL men
    8. Gossiping in front of the people you're gossiping about and being obvious about it.
    9. Passive-aggressiveness at work or school. The amount of hurt I have seen women inflect on other women is disgusting! And it's also insidious, because you can't describe it as easily as you would if someone hit you or was just aggressive in other ways.
    10. Thinking men are otherworldly so they must not have feelings or anything. It's okay to call them ugly etc as if they weren't a human being just like you. (see the hypocrite that is Billie Ellish and her comments about ugly men, while simultaneously not wanting people to body shame her, and being celebrated as some sort of body positive hero.
    11. Thinking that anyone who criticizes feminism is anti-equality, a "pick me," or an incel.

The most recent thing I have heard from women is that some women tell other women that they aren't "real women" if they adopt or otherwise don't experience pregnancy or vaginal birth.

“Both toxic masculinity and femininity are unhealthy as they pressure individuals to fit a mold rather than strive to live and relate to others authentically, as their highest and best selves,” explains the expert.

Licensed therapist Meaghan Rice, says that toxic femininity often happens as a subconscious effort to find value or feel accepted in a patriarchal society. In some cases women are explicitly told to conform to traditional stereotypes. In others, they attempt to align with those stereotypes themselves.

The concept of motherhood in general seems to bring out a lot of toxic behaviour. Whether or not a woman chooses to become a mother, and if she does every action or decision after that seems to be up for judgment and criticism. Those “mommy” groups on Facebook all seem to devolve into a pit of negativity eventually.

Self inflicted martyrdom. My mum would go on and on about how much she does for the family (which was a lot and I am grateful) and about how we all did nothing but she would never tell us how to do anything. We were small kids, we didn't know how to do any chores or what's expected because she never showed us. She would make us feel guilty for existing because by us existing she had more work. And the kicker is when you'd try and be like "alright, what can I do to help and make your life easier?" she'd respond "nothing". I love her but lord this was exhausting to live with and I notice this trait more in women than men.

One example I’d say is strict adherence to beauty standards. Like how there are women who will literally never leave their house without make-up. Never. And some women will judge other women for not following beauty trends. I’ve heard women insult other women over so many things, like not wearing makeup, not wearing makeup the “right” way, not shaving enough body parts, not wearing a bra, wearing open-toed shoes with unpainted toenails, the list goes on.

I would say that toxic feminity can be quite similar to toxic masculinity. I'd describe it as those women who yell at men when they get emotional or vulnerable, telling them to 'man up' or 'you're supposed to be the man in this relationship!'. Kind of the same thing that 'traditional men' would say.

It pisses me off because it's bringing women down (saying they are weaker than men) while also being really hard on the men and not letting them express themselves.

Also, as you say, all that stuff about having to have children to be 'real women'.

A more light-hearted example of, if not toxic, at least mildly annyoing feminity would be those women who force their husbands/boyfriends to wear a tie that matches their dress to weddings etc. (We have to match, honey!!)

I'm a woman myself, if it helps.

Toxic masculinity = Men expected to be tough with no feelings and responsible for protecting others

Toxic femininity = Women expected to be the caretaker in any situation and responsible for others' happiness

Caretaker can be a note taker in a work meeting, it can be the person who is always cooking, the person always changing diapers, the organizer, or the nurse to the sick.

I am sure I am simplifying complex things with this statement.

    Some traits/examples:

    * Mean girls.
    * Talking over others
    * Belittling others whether face to face or through gossip mongering.
    * Passive aggression - think eye-rolling, patronizing comments, fake laughing and niceties, smiley faces following a harsh-worded email, etc.
    * Jealousy, resentment, and bitterness towards other women for their looks, popularity, and professional performance.
    * Competing with other female colleagues through their looks, dominance, work, or sexuality.
    * Pregnancy culture
    * Supermom culture
    * Wedding culture
    * Dating culture.

I often get scrutinized for not wearing makeup. I have nothing against it, I just feel more like myself without it. I put myself together, I just don't spend a ton of time styling my hair specifically or dabbling in cosmetics and for some reason that's taboo.

A subset I call the “Call Her Daddy” type. It’s tenets are basically, as long as you’re hot you can be as crazy, toxic, messy, and mean as you want, and you should use other people (especially men) as much as possible to achieve your ends.

If anyone doesn’t like the way you are, that’s a personal failing on their part and just proves the idea that “my beauty attracts haters” so I must be doing something right! They will say they hate men and don’t like them while also admitting that everything they do is explicitly for male attention and validation.

I’ve met a few of this type and I can tell you right now if they weren’t conventionally attractive, no group of people would ever put up with it.

    #37

    Skewed social responsibilities.

Painting with a broad brush here, but the way I've personally seen a lot of females treat one another is wild. I'm not exactly sure why, but it seems like there's a lot of peculiar gatekeeping around "being a real woman."

I also have several female friends that just can't be friends with other females. Any time anyone mentions another female, they pop off a little bit. Definitely possible it's anecdotal but none of them have anything in common besides being a woman so it seems like it can't be entirely uncommon.

Obviously all of this can apply to men as well but it seems more prevalent in females in my experience.

    #45

Maybe it’s a Japan thing (raising my family here), but Japanese women tend to almost take pride in not fixing tech stuff. From printers to smartphones to flipping fuses, they tend to have the attitude of, “Fixing that stuff is why we keep guys around.”

My wife has this attitude, even though she’s amazingly smart and capable, and my daughter is picking it up as well. Can’t stand it.

    #48

Reading some of these responses I think there are some men (and women) who don’t understand what toxic femininity/masculinity is.

Toxic femininity is society’s standards of femininity that serves against us. Both men and women can ~~have~~ engage in this behaviour. For example:

    - “too posh to push” dialogue

    - believing women are naturally better carers or parents (ETA: and by extension, men as less reliable parents)

    - believing a woman’s purpose is to stay home and bear children without earning an income (eta: and by extension, a man must be the breadwinner)

    - a lot of the makeup / fashion industry promoting beautiful slim women (if you’re not beautiful and/or slim, you are not being a proper woman)

    - see also social influencers

    - treating women who are not overtly emotional, or with male-dominated interests as strange or different

    - shaming women with menstrual cycles as unclean, must be kept hush hush as feminine women are clean and pure.

Conversely, typical examples of toxic masculinity are “boys will be boys” and “man up.”

    #49

Lmaooo hell yeah it is. i’ll give you an example that happened today in the morning while i was in public health class. we were having a big class discussion about kids having diabetes and ways on how to fix this, who to blame, etc. we were also role playing, so one guy was a teacher and one girl was a mother. the class teacher asked the mother something along the lines of “you work 10 hours a day and when you come home, you are too tired to make dinner so you just order something unhealthy like a pizza for the family. to try and solve this, who could you ask to help you make dinner or lunch for the kids?” she proceed to answer “my husband” randomly, out of nowhere, a girl (the class loudmouth) blurted out, “who are you kidding, men are useless” and the teacher just laughed it off and everything went back to normal. now what if the roles were reversed? ngl it made me kinda uncomfortable and i cringe a little but i just brushed it off.

    #50

Hm, so if toxic masculinity says men must act strong, be emotionless, and dominate women, that would mean toxic femininity is acting weak, emotional, and submissive, and maybe shaming other women for not doing the same?

I sort of feel like all femininity is viewed as toxic in American culture. Think about what happens if a dude wears a dress, vs a girl wearing a suit.

    #51

Yes, I think the oddest example I can find is the toxicity of women's competitiveness against other women and men when working, how you have to "claw your way up" and step on people just to reach success, and how the attitudes of successful women are absolutely [the worst] towards one's who aren't as successful.

    #52

I think one overlooked example of toxic feminity is women not acknowledging female privilege. For instance, I brought up the fact that in court proceedings mothers for one reason or another, women tend to win custody hearings to an ex-friend. My friend focused on the fact that men often choose to give up custody. However, she refused to see how this trend be influenced by the social structure and the perception of women being better parents or even women having the privilege of spending quality time with their children due to their societal expectations.

For instance, imagine if custody hearings were decided solely on who could provide financially for children. In such a scenario, male privilege would rear its head as men, due to societal expectations, often spend more time at work increasing the odds of them getting paid more and having more opportunities for advancing. Thus, the societal gendered expectation would create a situation unfavorable for women.

If our society was an equal one, men and women would have similar expectations as parents and there would likely be a 50/50 split over who got the children. We do not live in this society, so of course, men will not always be the chief caregiver in most cases, but this doesn't mean the father is unfit for primary custody.

    #53

When in a relationship, not clearly communicating needs and getting upset when their partner is not a mind reader and expecting them to just "pick up on the vibe" or "should already know because it's obvious". I know because I used to do that. Ugh. Man or woman, we are responsible for taking care of ourselves and part of that means clearly stating our wants and needs to our partner, friends, family, whomever clearly and deliberately.

    #54

The way that a majority of female managers treat their female staff.

Siding with the man against the woman even when he's a cheater or a predator.

    #57

Demanding chivalry is toxic I think. Men shouldn't have to respect a woman just be she's a woman.

    #58

I live with my mom and my sister. Both of them are feminists who think men are trash and say that men deserve to be bullied. Do I even have to explain.

    #59

For starters, Just check Instagram and FDS. They shame and bully men and women they don't like. They pretend men aren't affected by the same things they complain about. It's like they believe the whole world revolves around them.

    #60

    Victim blaming other women.

    #61

Yes toxic femininity is a thing, it’s the extreme negative behaviors that exclusively exist to females.

    Examples of toxic femininity

    1. Overbearing mother’s

    2. Narcissistic and extreme validation/attention seeking.

    #62

Toxic feminism has been a huge deal in India actually. There's been a case recently where there was a taxi driver who did nothing wrong and was slapped by a lady again and again and he didn't raise a finger. Then there was this one where one girl simply used social media against a simple delivery guy on zomato for no reason other than wanting free food.

    #63

If not a girl it's an abortion.

    #64

Having a child or marriage to keep a guy just because you’re afraid of being alone or b/c all your girlfriends have done it is pretty toxic. Understandable but toxic.

  • Monday 24 August 2026 - 05:00

A lot of our current world is about extremes and superlatives. We want things to be the best, the funniest; we want the fastest delivery, the lowest prices. Even Mother Nature seems to be getting in on the game with the scorching heat it’s been serving us this entire summer.

But what if you want just a little bit of something? You want some interesting facts, but it’s okay if they’re only mildly interesting. Same with pictures — maybe you want a chuckle or two, but you wish to be only mildly amused. Well, look no further — Bored Panda is fulfilling your wish with a selection of pictures from the “Mildly Amusing” and “Mildly Satisfying” subreddits. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy some mellow humor for a few minutes.

It’s practically the stuff of teenage dreams: your high school sweetheart goes on to become a superstar. Or maybe you have a run-in with someone who’s already on their way to becoming famous and, somehow, they pick you.

It’s something some folks over on Reddit wondered about, asking others what it was like to date someone famous—or someone who would eventually become famous. What was it like? How did it end? And are they still in touch? The answers range from sweet to messy to downright unbelievable, and while “dating” might be used a little loosely in some of them, they’re pretty entertaining—whether you’ve always dreamed of joining your celeb crush on the red carpet or can’t imagine anything worse than that kind of spotlight.

I dated Chester Bennington (lead singer of Linkin Park) for about 10 months just whilst they were starting to become big/tour regionally. Great guy but him being away so often meant it could never really last. I tried so hard and got so far, but I guess in the end it doesn't even matter - I'm happily married now with 2 beautiful kids.

I was engaged to Rickey Medlocke lead guitarist from Lynyrd Skynyrd previously lead singer of Blackfoot. It was probably the best five years of my life!

Was able to attend the 2005 Grammys, walked the red carpet. Met some amazing people.... Hung out with Billy Bob Thornton (who is so down to earth and personable) ZZ TOP, Ted Nugent, Keith Urban (one of my favorite musicians so talented). I had the pleasure of being part of the Skynyrd family for many years which was a treat in itself.

Billy Powell was the sweetest man.... It broke my heart when he passed. I remember Gary Rossington telling me a story regarding the plane crash.... He remembered coming to with a piece of the wing on top of him. He was crying out for help when he said Ronnie walked up and told him to calm down that he was going to help him and proceeded to lift the wing off.

Gary said he passed out and woke up in the hospital wanting to know how Ronnie was. Apparently Ronnie had di*d instantly. Instant chill bumps.

As for the relationship: I was so lonely at times since he was touring almost all the time. I went on the road as much as possible but I had kids and a job so it wasn't always feasible for me. I broke up with him :( He truly was an amazing man and for once in my life I "felt" loved. I had some friends who introduced him to the back up singer for kid rock Stacy Michelle. Apparently he didn't take the break up well but him and Stacy are a much better fit and are still together to this day.

Since there are so many comments this most likely won't be seen, but I'll tell it anyway.

My cousin dated Emma Stone right before she got really big. He even brought her to meet my grandmaw and his family. This was while he worked on The Help as a directors assistant. Proof. He has loads of pictures with her. He was also an extra in the movie which was really cool.

“The fame thing isn’t really real, you know. And don’t forget... I’m also just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.” Any ’90s rom-com fan will know the reference: it’s the iconic declaration movie star Anna Scott (Julia Roberts) makes to bookstore owner William Thacker (Hugh Grant) in the 1999 film Notting Hill.

Even if you haven’t seen it, you’re probably familiar with the trope. It’s practically a rom-com sub-genre by this point: a famous person and an ordinary person fall in love, and their relationship is anything but easy.

I dated Kristen Bell. She was just as cute back then as she is now. She is a great person. Things ended on her terms. I would have married her and only dated her for about a month. We went out a couple times, made out and such but didn't go too far.

I have a friend who claims (with some validity) to have dated Taylor Swift for 2 weeks in the 8th grade.

We tend to assume he is the subject of all of her breakup songs and blame him for her roller coaster love life.

    I dated an NHL player.
It was fun/weird. I was 21 and he was in his late twenties, seemingly happy to have a young girl to spoil. Going out was a lot of fun, but as you may guess about professional athletes, he wasn't confident about himself at all and the cockiness was over compensation for low self esteem.

He also wanted me to call him daddy in the bedroom; I obliged.

We’ve seen it play out in countless movies over the years. As Olivia Singh writes for Business Insider, “The dynamic usually follows a familiar arc. First, the normie is dazzled by the celebrity and their fame. Then, outside forces like the paparazzi or fans threaten to derail the relationship.”

Versions of this story have played out in real life, too. But while love usually prevails in movies “because rom-coms need happy endings,” Singh explains, some of the most famous real-life examples remind us that these seemingly fairy-tale romances don’t always come with a happily ever after.

Not really "dating" but hooked up with Stephen Glover aka steve-o for a while when Jacka*s was first starting (i know it's gross ok). He didn't really have any money then and he was in between Florida and LA and needed a place to stay from time-to-time. He was very full of himself and we stopped talking after threw a chair out of my kitchen window. Good to see that he cleaned himself up though.

But that hasn’t stopped us from being fascinated by them. In March 2026, for example, Ryan Murphy’s Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette became FX’s most-watched limited series ever on Hulu and Disney+.

Based on Elizabeth Beller’s Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, the series revisits what Vogue’s Olivia Petter calls “the intoxicating relationship between two of America’s most beautiful—and famously doomed—people.” In doing so, it chronicles Bessette’s path from a private citizen working with VIP clients at Calvin Klein to the wife of a former president’s son.

I dated Mireille Enos back in high school. She was set on being an actress even back then. I am happy for her and her success, plus she's married to Alan Ruck (aka Cameron from Ferris Bueller) which is awesome and they just had their second beautiful child. She was and is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet.

I speak to her once in a great while when she comes back home to see her family. I did get to have dinner with her and her husband many years ago as we are still family friends with her family here. Great time.

Not going to say her name, but in high school I dated a girl who is now a pretty popular guitarist/singer. She was beautiful (and still is), kind, and all around awesome. The problem was, she was a d*e hard Christian, and when I came out as atheist to her, she broke up with me. I understand it though. She was fine with having s*x though, but admitted that she faked her orgasms with me because she didn't want to disobey god :/ I still don't really get it.

edit: she's popular, but not nearly as popular as some of the guesses you guys have made. she's no real superstar, yet at least.

    Yay! I got one!

My aunt dated Montell Jordan for a long time until he cheated on her and left her. Hes currently married to that woman. She went all s******l after that for awhile but she did get a kid out of it...not sure if it's his but he kinda looks like him.

Anyway, she moved back to her home state, got a house built for her and her son. She's still single and doing well!

As Sarah Hunter Simanson writes for HuffPost, the series aims to “show how complex a figure Carolyn was” and explore “how the complicated love between the two unraveled under the pressure of the paparazzi and the expectation of being a Kennedy.”

That tension is highlighted across several episodes. In one, a colleague of Bessette’s explains, “She knows if she marries him, that will be her defining characteristic. It will be like she never existed before she met him.” In another, Carolyn says that she chose John “in spite of his life”—a line that gets at the complicated reality of falling for someone whose fame comes with a life of its own. Or, as Simanson puts it, “the tension that exists between choosing a person and choosing the life that comes with them.”

I f****d a now fairly well-know (in Ohio, at least) newsperson when we were in college on the regular. Wouldn't really say we dated, but we hooked up a lot over the course of a few months.

Ended fine. She was fun and very career driven and focused. We just sort of stopped hooking up. For a while when I'd see her on billboards it was fun to tell people I hit that.

D**n! Too late for this one but my mom dated Louis C.K. back in high school. Said he was a bit awkward, nice guy. Funny enough, took her to a comedy club on both dates. Tried to win her back later on by baking her a pie, didn't work though I guess.

My dad went to high school and wrestled with Axl Rose. I wouldn't consider that dating but there was a lot of touching and hugging.

Watching the series unfold, it’s hard not to wonder how different Carolyn’s life might have looked if she hadn’t chosen John “in spite of his life.” And perhaps that same curiosity—about what could have been—helps explain our fascination with people who have had their own brushes with celebrity romance.

Sure, we like hearing unfiltered stories about what famous people are really like IRL. There’s something irresistible about getting the inside scoop from people who knew them intimately—stories that can feel far more revealing than any glossy tabloid account. For some, there may also be an aspirational element to hearing from ordinary people who crossed paths with someone famous—or someone about to be famous—and fell for them (or came tantalizingly close to doing so). But sometimes, the more intriguing part is imagining how different both their lives might have looked if things had turned out differently.

Teri Hatcher hit on me while I was delivering some legal documents to an office on the Universal Studios lot in LA. She totally did the double take thing and said "hey" as I walked by. I just ignored it, cause I'm gay and I was weirded out (but flattered). A few years later, I saw that she was dating Ryan Seacrest so I guess she has a thing for gay guys.

I had a thing with an NBA player. He was totally normal really, despite him being a big name. It was mostly a casual thing. We met at a bar and I was the only girl not trying to climb all over him so we ended up talking about our favorite Fantasy Football players (he hooked me up with some great tips for my team). Eventually he just turned into a superstar so we don't really talk anymore- but there's no ill will. His name sounds like dessert. Always made me hungry.

Admittedly not answering the question, but tangentially interesting story...

My roommate from college's mom dated a guy who was a musician, and dumped him for the guy who she eventually married (my roommate's dad). The musician she dumped wrote a song about it.

Her name is Marianne. The song is "More Than a Feeling" by Boston.

She said he was a good guy, but felt at the time he was pursuing an unrealistic dream of being a musician.

I dated Joel Zimmerman (Deadmau5) for about 10 months in 2005. He was living with his mother in Niagara Falls at the time, waiting for his visa to be approved so he could move back to California. He had already travelled through Europe at that point and was famous there, but not yet in North America. He didn't drive, so I always did lol. Great times. One of the most intelligent guys I've ever met. Even though he comes off as an a*****e, he's a straightforward guy.

My stepdad's cousin dated Woody Harrelson in college. He pursued her for two months, following her to classes, leaving weird notes on her dorm hall corkboard, and calling her every day with Bible quotes. She finally went out with him, and ended up taking him to Thanksgiving with her family. Her dad thought he was "a no good piece of s**t slacker". They broke up just before Christmas; they were both cheating on each other by then anyway.

EDIT: Now that I've read the infamous AMA, it rings a few bells. Apparently Woody didn't like to talk about things he didn't bring up himself, most especially his family and his dating history.

Dated Gabbie from the "GabbieShow" and SoFlo on Facebook/vine when we worked for a marketing company called smart circle. Shes got a big a*s and a big crazy ego to go with it. Good luck to anyone hittin that. She ended up f*****g my buddy because he payed "more attention" to her LOL.

Edit: No I do not have contact with her anymore, no I do not have her number. I didn't even get a reply back to me congratulating her on her new found success a couple years ago. There's that ego for ya.

Edit 2: We worked in a Sam's club together, I pushed DirecTV like it was crystal m**h at the time and she sold a different emerging product each month, both for a company called Smart Circle, and she was actually a good salesman and was very personable.

    My time to shine!

I went spent some time with the One True God himself. Yes, Nic Cage. We spent an evening together (not a night, I declined) and he asked me out the next day. This was right after his split with Lisa Marie Presley. We kissed and talked. He is actually a really fascinating person.

And, yes, I get endless s**t about this from my younger friends. But, whatever, he was hot and I had a crush on him before we met.

I've dated two, one went on to be a musician, and one a prominent radio personality.

The musician was a fling, lasted a few months and we mutually parted ways on friendly terms. He was very funny and competitive in bizarre and creative ways. He later went to Berkley School of music and now he and his band tours the U.S. and Canada last I heard. His music is good but I don't listen to it because, I dunno, it feels awkward?

The other one was a local radio DJ who did a top-40/rap station here, but his real passion was the band Pearl Jam, he f*****g LOVES that band. He was very cerebral, and we had lots of philosophical discussions. He had me do radio spots (commercials, etc) because he said I had a good voice for it. I later ended up doing things for other stations after we broke up. He broke up with me because I was 19 and he was 28. I was still living at home then. He now hosts a popular radio show in Los Angeles.

Both are still good people, neither have become jaded, washed-up a******s, or so the grapevine says here.

I am now happily married to a non-celebrity.

My Girl Scout troop leader dated Johnny Depp in high school, if remember correctly. I doubt they dated long; she said he was strange. She had pictures of them together and year books and junk. We all thought it was so awesome and were wondering which kid in our elementary school was destined for fame.

She canceled our meeting one week to go to his wedding. She was cool.

Got a novelty kiss out of Zooey Deschanel when I worked with her on set once. Like, I got the whole staff joking about how romantic it would be for the lighting assistant to kiss her. I made it a running joke. It got around to the whole cast and even the interns. On the second to last day, I got the kiss. You could say we're pretty serious I guess.

Playing the long game, guys. It works.

I once shook hands with Adam Baldwin. He sorta grabbed my hand funny so i ended up giving him a really weak handshake, after our interaction i said " hey sorry bout the weak handshake, you sorta grabbed me funny" and he looks me in the eye, puts out his hand and says "try again". i grabbed that mans hand like my life depended on it, we shared a stern look and i went on my way.

Dated a ridiculously hot (and rich) Korean girl from LA that was in law school with me. She hooked up with Christiano Ronaldo and went on a few dates with him a few years before we dated. If I remember she said he really wasnt that good looking and she had no idea who he was at first - all of her friends were completely freaking out and she was just telling him to back off. She said his hair was ridiculously greasy - she wasn't a fan. Also, Jim Carrey apparently tried to hit on her and she said he's the creepiest freaking dude ever. The latter one I believe for sure, think I've read several times that Jim Carrey creepily hits on hot asian girls quite a bit?

Being eskimo brothers would Christiano Ronaldo wouldnt be the worst thing in the world.

Olivia O'Brien, who wrote "I Hate U I Love U" went to my high school. She was a year below me, but we were super close friends. One day, however, we were hanging out alone on a road in Napa and one thing lead to another, and we made out in my car. The next day, I was hanging out with a different girl who liked me and we, well, did it. So me and girl number two ended up dating. Olivia was heartbroken, and actually wrote her first version of "I Hate U I Love U" (the original is still on her SoundCloud profile, honestly really good looking back on it.) Thing is, Olivia is crazy, and can be a huge b***h if you get on her bad side. She made my life living hell with my girlfriend, and was one of the reasons we broke up in the long run. Eventually, her and this Gnash dude meet up and do the collaboration for SoundCloud that now has a few million listens or something. She was a little bit of a local celebrity but hadn't blown up outside of our town yet. Her and I actually made up, but she left our school and now lives in LA recording new music and I haven't heard from her in a long time. The thing is, she was such a sweet girl and I feel horrible for playing her the way I did, but she's still super crazy. Either way, she's famous now, and I'm studying in college. She's successful in her way, but I wanna be successful in my own. How I hurt her in the past and where she ended up because of it inspires me to be a better person and to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Met a guy in an up and coming band first year of college. On and off for years bc I didn't want to date a guy in a band, plus he had dropped out of college to pursue his career and that seemed short sighted to me. Fast forward a couple years his band is winning VMAs. Fast forward a couple more there are very public issues. Fast forward a few silent years and they're bigger than they ever were. Still the same sweet generous loving man I met we just now have a bigger, better, more blessed life than I knew was even possible when we first met. Entertainment industry is super weird and fickle. There are times I wish I married an accountant, teacher or lawyer for the stability but I honestly wouldn't change it for the world. At this point the craziness is all we know.

I met a girl in on the late 80's. We lived in Texas. She was 16 and wanted to be an actress, I was 18 and had no ambition. We dated for a few years. She was discovered by playboy magazine during a spring break trip shortly after turning 18. We moved to LA and she was in almost every face soap, tampon commercial. She did a few tv shows and starred in one teen movie. We broke up when she decided she liked long haired guitar players. We remained very good friends for years after the breakup. She got married and divorced to a different guy. He and I are best friends and neither of us speak to her anymore. Last I heard she was living in a s****y apartment and still trying to get famous. She made a lot of money for a few years in the mid 90's but she's past her prime now.

This is going to buried for sure, but I currently date a guy who is a drummer for a major band out of Boston, has a Billboard Award and an international hit song.

Its...interesting. We've been together for two years and for the most part it is a pretty easy relationship. He and I are both homebodies and he's not very social (after shows he usually hides in the backstage area), but we both enjoy road trips and that is where we spend our money (or video games and music equipment (thats more him)). I do very well being alone so when he's on tour for weeks I am okay; of course I miss him, but I'm able to cope, and he does his best to always keep me in the loop or let me know he's thinking about me.

One negative is planning anything with him is almost impossible. He rarely knows where he is going to be or if a show will pop up, if he has to take a last minute flight to LA or NY, or what have you. I am very much a planner, and he will usually tentatively agree with things, which is nice.

All in all it is a pretty typical relationship with the perk of awesome backstage access.

A few years ago I f****d a then-rookie NFL player who now starts for a fairly impressive AFC team. To me, the s*x was nothing special and I chalked it up to another kind of cool f*****g story. He must have felt otherwise because I spent the next few months avoiding his calls and texts.

Yes, I now realize that if I would have accepted his advances I would not be living in the s**t hole apartment that I am currently typing this from. But, I realized something more important back then...even 300+ lb. linebackers can have very, very, tiny d***s.

Aunt was engaged to Steve Madden. She ended it and actually managed to marry up financially. Married a billionaire...it's ridiculous how much money her husband makes.

I dated Kylie Jenner. Not really allowed to discuss, but she's a very very cool person.

My boyfriends sister used to date Justin Bieber's dad. He's a huge d*******g. No surprise there.
